“New York”, one of the latest movies that were released a few weeks back was a real story based movie that will keep the viewers stuck to the chairs until the end. The director and the story writer have done a lot of ground work before making the movie on screen. The characters were choosen carefully and they played a great role in the success of the movie. The movies that have been released after the strike of the multiplex owners have mostly been good. That shows the potential of the Bollywood movie makers.

The story of the movie is mainly around three characters Sameer(John Ebrahim), Omar(Neil Nitin Mukesh) and Maya(Katrina kaif). They meet in the New York state university while their course. They became very close and Omar felt for Maya. But he never got to express because she was actually interested in Sam. The 9/11 blast left the Muslim community under suspension. So Omar left the university and went to India. After 7 years he was taken into the detention cell of FBI whose leading officer was Roshan(Irfan Khan) who was in charge of a mission which led their thread to Sameer. In spite of Omar’s strong opposition they finally gave him a chance to prove Sameer as an anti-terrorist. But some incedents led Omar to believe that he has some connection with a terrorist attack and he tries to help FBI avoid that attack. And what happens next is the move all about.

A nice music has enhanced the gravity of the movie. Hopefully the movie will deal big in the upcoming days.
