Some of the movies that was released recently was big time hit and some of them were hardcore flop shows after the first premier. And here too comes the movie that has the star-cast to engage people to the theaters but not enough to ask them to purchase the ticket for one more embarrassing time. It has not been a good year for Amrita Rao as none of her movies were big time hit like she gave films like Vivah, Main Hoon Na etc. She rode her luck in this movie but to her dismay, it may also go in the same direction as her rest of the movies in this year.

The whole story of the Movie “ShortCut” is about an aspiring writer(Akshay Khanna) who is hit by the luck and struggled his way. But he was far away from his target. In the mean time his story get ripped off by another non-actor(Arshad Warsi). But his luck supported him and he became an overnight hero. That affected the life of the writer. He hardly could talk calmly with even someone he loved(Amrita Rao). His sole aim of life became to make another movie with the same hero. And the movie on its course of time reveals what he did to get his job done.

The acting skills of both the lead actors were good. The inclusion of Chunkey Pandey had another dimension to comedy. Amrita never looked to make a good pair with Akshay. Most hopeless thing was the music which went almost in vain. The good work from Shakar Mahadevan is going to die in broad day light.
