Murder is a forthcoming erotic thriller Bollywood movie. It is a sequel to the film Murder (2004). The lead roles are played by the famous Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film is produced by none other than Mukesh Bhatt and directed by Mohit Suri. It has been scheduled to release on 8th July, 2011 and the theatrical trailer had been released on 1st June, 2011. The film has been granted ‘A’ certificate by the Indian censor board committee.
The movie Murder 2 has been inspired by legendary stories of dark characters like serial killers and psychopaths. There are rumors that the film has taken some inspiration from films like hostel and saw. The movie is based on some facts and some fictional myths but director Mohit Suri and producer Mukesh Bhat have tried to include the most intriguing elements. Every city has a story of serial killers whether you pick up Delhi, Mumbai or Goa. In this movie, Goa is the setting place and shows its own history of serial killings.
The shooting of movie has taken place in Goa and Mumbai. Earlier Bipasha Basu was offered the lead role and then the item number “aa zara karib se” but she refused both and then the lead role was given to Jacqueline Fernandez and the item number was performed by Yana Gupta.
It is quite obvious that the songs by the serial kisser Emraan Hashmi will hit the block buster list and people are definitely going to tune it out. Expectations were really high with the music but till now it has not been able to meet up the expectations of the public as far as the movie murder 2 is concerned. Mithoon, Harshit Saxena, Sangeet Haldipur and Siddharth Haldipur are the people responsible for the music of the movie. The composers of the music are Roshni Baptist, Saim, Mohammed Irfan, Mithoon, Arijit, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sangeet Haldipur and Harshit Saxena. The album is filled with love which comprises of eight tracks in the row. There is nothing extraordinary about the music of Murder 2 and has not been able to even touch the level of Murder.
The series of romantic love songs start with the song ‘hale dil’ crooned and composed by Harshit Saxena. You will not find anything new or special but still will be able to impress the music lovers. It has also been recorded in acoustic version having a little touch of soft rock. Song composed by Sangeet and Siddharth haldipur ‘aa zara” is a nice song with moderate pace. It is really sensous and Sunidhi has been successful in capturing the mood with the magic of her powerful voice giving the song an extra edge over others.
The next song song ‘aye khuda’ by Mithoon has a sufi influence on it and minimal music arrangement has been used. The singers have been aptly able to impress us with their high pitch and focua is laid upon the vocals. It also has re-mixed version of it. Another track by Mithoon ‘phir Mohabbat’ is a slow paced song with average lyrics and less music.
In the end all we can say is that the music did not stood up to the mark of the expectations.
